With Patonga as the event headquarters, this year’s race promises to be a journey through some of the wildest and most beautiful terrain on the Central Coast.

When Hugh Stodart, the team captain of Thunderbolt, was asked how he felt before the race, his response captured the intensity of the challenge ahead: "So many decisions to make—choosing the right checkpoints, finding the best routes. Some are far from obvious, and we’ve got a lot of planning to do. I thought we’d get some sleep, but now, I’m not so sure."
